Excellent and interesting tour. The boat captain's narration showed great knowledge of homes along the shore. Ride was smooth and fairly quiet.

Good experience. Gorgeous views of Lake Placid and its islands. Our experience was marred by another family with completely out of control kids who were incredibly loud and detracted from the experience by drowning out the narration from the boat captain and running around rather dangerously on the boat in spite of requests from the captain to remain seated. Nevertheless an enjoyable trip with gorgeous gorgeous views and reasonably priced to boot... might go again in future

Our guide and Captain, Nate, was knowledgeable, competent, and accommodating with our large group of retirees. The cruise was lovely--we lucked into one of the finest days of autumn--and everyone learned some fun tidbits about Lake Placid.

Absolutely worth it, the Captains thoroughly enjoy what they do and make sure everyone has a great experience. MUST bring a sweater and pants, everyone on the boat was freezing and this was mid August

DO NOT MISS!!!!! My wife and I got the last seats on an afternoon boat tour with Captain Tom. By FAR, our favorite experience in Lake Placid. The tour was only an hour, but was long enough for some great history, some fascinating stories, and beautiful views of the actual Lake Placid. We can't say enough about the tour. For the money, this experience should not be missed. See pictures.

Great tour of the Lake and 1st class commentary by our guide. Cool facts about the lake along with a who's who of owners of the lovely lodges spotting the coast. Kept it fun and moving throughout would def recommend.

Not what is use to be. We take this tour every summer and always enjoy it. It’s a nice way to get out on the lake. Price has jumped to $25 pp. Our tour guide Tim should educate himself better before giving a tour. Much of what he said was completely inaccurate. Plus our route was shortened despite the second tour boat going the usually route past Kate Smith camp and Lake Placid Lodge. Huge disappointment this year and over priced.

Our entire family was so pleasantly surprised by our tour around Lake Placid. We took the 10:00 on a cool Aug morning and we were a family of four. The boat was not too large like what you'd find at Lake George (think Mini Ha Ha) but not too small (think Old Man and the Sea skiff)...maybe a total of 10 people aboard. Captain Cook was a fantastic guide. The ride felt organic and truly enjoyable. It didn't feel like he was reciting or going through a script, it was more of a playful conversation. He knew so much about all the great camps around the lake so be prepared to be wowed by his knowledge and humor.
